On the weekend of 18th/19th November, the venturer group embarked on an overnight trip to Carlingford. We started our adventure by
meeting at the Scout hall at 9 a.m. Knowing that buses on Scout trips almost
always arrive late I wasn’t too concerned that I was only arriving in
Carrickmacross at 9.10 – that was until I almost missed it. I was shocked to
see that when I arrived the bus was already there and everyone was on it,
waiting – oops!! It’s not my fault; I’ve never seen a bus leave for a scout
trip on time in my life. Anyway, it left nearly as soon as I got on.

The journey took 2 and a half hours to reach the campsite which was called Crawfordsburn campsite, beside Bangor. After a day of setting up camp we had a game of volleyball. We finished the first day off with a campfire and songs.

Witches scary monsters, robots and plenty of blood along with princesses and even batman were seen in the scout hall.

There was a large turnout of parents at the recent Agm of the group. This was probably the biggest attendence that has ever attended and AGM of the group. This was a great boost for the leaders to see such a large turnout to support them in their work. A lot of important information was given on the night
