Welcome to the 3rd Monaghan Scout Group Website.

Scouting in Carrickmacross celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2007 and today the group is stronger than ever. With over 200 youth members and almost 50 adult members, the group operates two beaver colonies, two cub packs, two scout groups, a venturer group and a rover group and is the 4th largest group in Scouting Ireland.

If you are visiting us for the first time, we hope you find something of interest. If you are a member of the group, a parent or other friend of the group, take the time to register to gain access to online resources such as chat forum, instant messaging, downloadable files etc. Use the menu system across the top to explore the wealth of information we have online.

Cub Parent & Child Camp 2010

The Cub Parent & Child camp brought our cub year to an end over the weekend of 11/12/13th June. Click on the PLAY button below to see some photos from the weekend. Cubs camped out on Friday night and had a day full of activities on Saturday that included Rounders and Volleyball competitions as well as observation, pioneering and teamwork bases amoungst others.

Tuesday Cubs Camping at Campsite

20 of the Tuesday night Cubs and Leaders were out at the campsite on the 24th and 25th of April for a bit of pioneering and fun! The Pioneering projects included: - A Gateway - An Alter Fire - A Bridge over the water - A water basin The Cubs also went on a night hike, played a few games, ran the assault course and also climbed the climbing tree over the weekend.
