The Group is managed by a team of all the leaders in the group and is chaired by the Group Leader. Each of the programme sections in turn has a team of leaders responsible for the implementation of the relevant programme of activities in safe and structured way. Each section also has a leader in charge with the other leaders acting in an assistant capacity.

Leader Training
All leaders in the group undertake formal leadership training relevant to their appointment as laid down by Scouting Ireland. Many of the Scout leaders undertake extra specialist training allowing them to provide more adventurous activities.

Safety
Safety is paramount in all of the activities that the group undertakes and is the foremost consideration in the scout section especially with Camping, Hiking, canoeing and outdoor activities. All Scouts are required to wear the relevant safety equipment for each and every adventurous activity.

Meeting Leaders
All parents are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the leaders of their child’s section. Your primary point of contact for any issues relating to your child, scouting activities or other issues should always be the section leader.
