The beaver section finished of their year recently with firstly a visit to the local fire service and then a day trip to Fort Lucan In Dublin. The night at the fire station was a great success with the beavers getting a chance to experience what life as a fireman is. They got a chance to get into the fire engine and to see all the equipment working. The beaver leaders would like to thank Garett Marron and ex scout for organising the trip along with the other firemen who helped.
The beavers finished off the year with both sections going to the wonderful Fort Lucan in Dublin. This is paradise for beavers with plenty of water and other items to have fun with. The beavers took part in all the high rides, water slides, hovercrafts, Assualt courses etc. This was a great day out and a fitting finish to another succesful Beaver year.
The Beaver leaders would like to wish the best of luck to the beavers who are now moving into the cub section. We will miss them but I'm sure we will bump into them now and then in the scout hall. We also wish 2 of our Beaver leaders the best of luck Martin Cunningham who is moving to the scout section and Justin mc Nally who is going travelling. We are looking forward to having 4 new leaders in the beaver sections next year bringing the number of Beavers Leaders up to 9.
So have a great summer break and see you all in mid September. Below you will find a quick time movie of our day at Fort Lucan and some pictures of the fire station visit.
