Last Saturday the 1st March saw our Beavers take part in the Cavan Monaghan Scout County Fun Day.

4 teams of Beavers from both from Monday and Tuesday night  took part. The day started with the Ballyjamesduff Leaders who were hosting the day telling everyone what was going to take place.

In the morning there was various bases around the scout den. Things like trying to transport golf balls down through all members of the team using a section of Guttering -Good Fun!!. Wellie  throwing, egg and spoon races, Tug of war arts and crafts etc. The 2nd half of the day was a quiz with various rounds including a music round which the Beavers were very good at and a picture round etc etc.

At the end of the day 2 of our teams came 2nd and 3rd and they all received medals. All Beavers taking part on the day got a certificate. Hot dogs were served to all beavers at lunch time.

The winning team were our neighbours Maghercloone and our team that finished 2nd are eligible to go forward to the Provincial Beaver Fun day which is been run in Skerries in April.

Great fun was had by all and much thanks must go to the Ballyjamesduff group for organising the event.
