We met at the Scout Hall at 5:30 on Saturday evening. Me, Katie, Catherine, Maria, Niall and Stephen all went on the camp along with 3 Leaders Sham, Jonny and Adele. We packed the cars and drove to a petrol station near the Colley's where we were camping. We all had something to eat and decided what we would do before the Night Hike.
We decided to go to the cinema and then go on the Night Hike. Then we went up to to the bottom of the Colley's and found a good field to camp in and pitched the tents. It was round 9 by the time we were finished pitching and also looking at the stars ( We saw two shooting stars) so then we went straight to the cinema.

We split into two groups, one went to see "Juno" and the other went to see "In Bruges". The films were both very good and were over at round quarter to 12. Then we drove out to the long woman's grave, this is where we started the hike. Adele left her car on top of the mountain so we wouldn't have to walk down, Thank God! The hike was split into 4 different bits.
Stephen led us to the 1st point. I led the everyone to the 2nd point and Niall led us to the 3rd point and Maria led us to the last point. Sometimes we had to leap-frog because it was so foggy. It was freezing but the hike was good craic. I was so happy to see Adele's car at the endof the hike. Me, Katie and Jonny got a lift down with Adele and then Jonny went back up and picked up everyone else. The hike took us 4 hours and we weren't in bed till 4:30.

The next morning we got up at 8 and took down the tents. We had to get up so early because we had to go to a scout conference. We all got breakfast in a petrol station and then we headed straight to the conference, which was in Gormanstown. We were all wrecked so the conference was pretty boring. We met some Carrick scout Leaders and Alice and Louise. We went home at around 3 and we were back in Carrick by 4. We had to put the tents out to dry and then we all went home. It was a great camp!!!!
