Last Saturday Night 13th Sept Scouting Ireland where awarded the best Community Award at The People of the Year Awards. The award was presented to Chief Scout Martin Burbridge and 2 scouts by George Hook of Rubgy fame who was a Scout himself. Preceeding the Award there was a short video played of scouting in Ireland which featured one of our own scouts Jack Thornthon who was interviewed for the piece. This piece was filmed recently at the Jamboree in Punchestown. Well done to Jack and Scouting Ireland on acheiveing this award long overdue. The piece is featured below.
