This St Patrick's Day in conjuction with our Spiritual advisor Fr Jordan the Scout Group celebrated the day in great style. The day started with the Group taking part in the 12 noon Mass where the youth members done all the various parts of the cermony from readings offertory prayers for the faithful singing etc.

After mass it was to the church lawn where the group put on a display. Members of the public where invited to have a wander through the full campsite with all the tents etc. A full 2 hours of events took place including Tree climbing, hand painting, Orienteering, Large Jigsaw monkey bridge etc. The youth members had a great time while the adults enjoyed the Bar B Q and other refreshments.

The 2 hrs went by very quick and as quick as a flash the Campsite was gone and you would never Know the scouts were even there

It was now on to the the Parade itself where as usual the Colour Party led the parade. This year the Ventures put in a float and as luck would have it they won first prize.

A fitting end to a great day. Well done to Caoimhe Martin who ran the day and to Liam and Fr Jordan for there input into the Mass parade etc.

Roll on next year I think this event is here to stay
