On the 27th/28th of December 2011 four Leaders, Liam Murray, Daire O'Riagain, Jonny Thornton and James Fox tried their hand at climbing the Howling Ridge on Carrantuohill in the Kerry mountains.

The trip consisted of traveling down on the Tuesday, hiking to the foot of the ridge, sleeping in the 4-star emergency shelter that has ample matress juice for all concerned and making a good effort at the ridge on the Wednesday before making a dash for the ever reliable nissan patrol to get home at an unreasonable hour.
