Welcome to CarrickScouts.ie

The Scout Shop will be in Carrick Scout Hall on Wed. 6th November from 4pm-7pm on 6/11/13. This is an opportunity to purchase any uniform parts needed. If you can't make the local visit, the scout shop is located at 34/35 Upper Liffey St., in Dublin or items may be purchased online from their website.

As well as uniforms, the scout shop stocks a range of outdoor equipment & clothing that can be useful Christmas gifts, particularly for those in older sections.

Also the local uniform swap shop is up and running. Contact Elaine on 085 724 5721 if you have old uniform to swap or just to check what's available.

The group is getting ready for the new scouting year and start back dates for sections meetings have been announced. They are as follows;

Beavers / Cubs are returning on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th September at 7.30pm.

Scouts are returning on the 4th October.

To finish the Rover's scouting year they had travelled to the west of Ireland for a weekend of activities!!

On May 6th, Bank Holiday Monday at 10.30am, competitors lined up to take part in the 2nd Annual Duathlon organised and run by the 3rd Monaghan Carrickmacross Rover Scouts. The Duathlon consisted of a 2.4km run starting at the Carrick Aces running track, a 10km cycle out the old Ardee road and finished with a 2.5km run around the running track. This year we had a good turnout from competitors of all ages.

The Rover Scouts would like to thank all who participated, attended and donated to the Duathlon in aid of Carrickmacross Scouts. In particular we would like to thanks our sponsors Carrick Cycle Shop, SuperValu, Value Centre Wholesalers, Celtic Pure, The Outdoor Shop and Tommy the Bikes who all donated either spot prizes or food and water for the event.
